Understanding Dry Wood Termite & Prevention

These termites live and feed entirely inside dry wood, often going undetected until damage is severe. Signs include tiny holes on wood surfaces, piles of wood-colored droppings (frass), and hollow-sounding wood. To prevent infestations, keep wooden furniture and structures dry, well-ventilated, and regularly inspected. Sealing cracks, using termite-resistant wood, and treating wood with anti-termite chemicals can also help. Early detection and prompt professional treatment are essential to avoid costly damage.
